Iran movie ‘The Woodpecker’ to go on cinema screen soon

Iran movie ‘The Woodpecker’ is scheduled to appear on the silver screen soon.

Directed by Behrouz Shoeibi, the flick will be screened in the following weeks immediately after ‘Don't Be Embarrassed' directed by Reza Maqsoudi ends screening.

“There is nothing harder in life than seeing someone you love decided to be alone. You enjoy seeing her and hearing her voice, but she closed the doors and chooses loneliness in your place ... There is nothing harder in life than being left alone. You see your loved ones and you love them, but they all deny you. They closed doors on you and you are alone. Loneliness is a swamp,” a synopsis for the film read.

‘The Woodpecker’ has notable Iranian stars such as Mahnaz Afshar, Jamshid Hashempour, Sara Bahrami, Hadi Hejazifar, Negar Abedi, and Amin Hayaee in the cast.

The successful move had 10 nominations in the 36th edition of Fajr Film Festival in Iran and scored 2 Crystal Simorgh awards at the festival.
